Jakarta on March 28, 1994 is named PT Manunggal Multi Finance. September 1994 the company changed its name to PT Oto Multiartha. This change reflects a special effort to focus on car financing. In 1996, Sumitomo Corporation, Japan joined as new shareholders. Furthermore, as a form of commitment, since September 1998 Sumitomo Corporation became the major shareholder until now.
Sumitomo Corporation is an integrated Japanese trading company (sogo shosha). As a major shareholder Sumitomo Corporation provides support and control all aspects of business management, treasury, finance to operations. With the support of Sumitomo Corporation, in the last five years Oto Multiartha has managed to grow and improve the car finance and have a network of offices throughout Indonesia.
The main business is the financing of Oto Multiartha car ownership, both new and secondhand. Oto Multiartha also provides financing mixed-use business based on customer demand. The main target is the Oto Multiartha individual customers, while also providing financing to businesses. As an independent finance company, Oto Multiartha no connection with the manufacturers, so companies have the flexibility to finance all brands of cars in the market. Oto Multiartha also have enjoyed growth in the domestic car market is strong in recent years, and able to maintain its position as one of the leading players in car financing.
In an effort to provide "one-stop-service", Oto Multiartha develop a web site www.oto.co.id. This website has now been recognized as the first automotive portal in Indonesia. PT Oto Multiartha continue to strengthen the Information Technology systems to expand market share by increasing efficiency and productivity at branch offices to serve customers.
PT Oto Multiartha always committed to providing the best service to its customers. Until late 2010 PT Oto Multiartha already operates 58 offices in various major cities in Indonesia.
